For over 45 years, Bellaire Baptist Church has been touching the lives of families in Shreveport-Bossier. Founded in 1961, when members met in a vacant house to organize a church, Bellaire Baptist Church has forged a legacy of unselfish outreach in the community.

Acting on faith, early members secured 4.23 acres of choice land in the Bellaire subdivision in February 1962, and began a building program for the first auditorium and educational space. This building, which is presently the Education/Music Building, was dedicated in August 1962. These years were times of growth and struggle, with the church receiving help from the Home Mission Board and the Highland Baptist Church of Shreveport.

Over the years, land was added and facilities built to meet our growing needs. In August 1996, Dr. Randy Harper came to Pastor Bellaire Baptist Church. With a heart for evangelism that he passed on to all he met, Bellaire has tripled in size, more land has been added, as well as more buildings to house our growing congregation. The Pastor and staff members continue to look for ways to reach people and change lives as we carry out the Great Commission.



Bossier City is located along the east bank of the Red River across from Shreveport in Northwest Louisiana. Bossier City is a growing metropolitan area with more than 58,000 residents. Bossier City is blessed with a mild climate, and there are many diverse attractions in our area. Barksdale Air Force Base, home of the 8th Air Force, is located within Bossier City limits.

Turn left onto US-71 N / Barksdale Blvd.
Go 2.1 miles, Turn right onto Bellaire Boulevard.

- From Shreveport, I-20 E:
Take the US-71 S/ Barksdale Blvd.
Go 2.6 miles, Turn left onto Bellaire Blvd.

- From North Bossier, Airline Drive:
Start out going South on Airline Drive , Turn left onto US -71 S / Barksdale Blvd.
Go 1.6 miles, Turn left onto Bellaire Blvd.
