Easter Sunday 2010
Easter Sunday 2010 was awesome at Bellaire Baptist Church. This was our first year to have Easter services at two locations (both Main Campus and the Complex at South Campus), and it worked out beautifully. We had large crowds, but we still had plenty of seating and parking space. We had approximately 1,400 people in all three services, and we truly worshiped a Risen Savior!
Bellaire hosts 2010 Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Egg Hunt was a HUGE success. We had hundreds of children from birth – 5th grade scurrying all over the fields of Bellaire Elementary playground to gather as many eggs as they could find. It didn’t take the children long to make all 10,000 eggs disappear from the grounds. Children went away with their baskets overflowing with eggs that were stuffed with candy. Each child also received a balloon with M&Ms and a card attached inviting all to attend Easter services at Bellaire. God provided a gorgeous day for the children to hunt eggs and He also provided MANY volunteers to help hide eggs, work registration tables, and/or fill the 400 balloons that children received upon leaving. Thanks to all of you who so eagerly served and made this event the success that it was.
Bellaire Fitness Center participates in Savannah Place 5K
The Savannah Place 5K Health Run and Walk was held on March 13th 2010. The race began in the parking lot of the Bellaire Complex Fitness Center and continued through the new homes of Savannah Place. Over one hundred people participated ranging from seven years old to seventy eight. The afterparty was held in the Bellaire Bistro where the runners enjoyed fruit and beverages while prizes were awarded. Jacob Langen placed 2nd in the 1-19yr old mens category and his sister Mackenzie Langen placed 1st in the 1-19yr old womens category. We are very proud that they are members at the Bellaire Fitness Center.
Upwards Basketball and Cheerleading 2010
Our Upward program ran from January to March of this year. We had about 100 boys and girls participate at our new
Complex. A banquet that was attended by 250 people followed at the end of the season.
