Barksdale Annex
A home has been donated to Bellaire Baptist Church in the Barksdale Annex community. Currently, work is being done by church volunteers and sub-contractors to totally renovate both the inside and outside of this home, as well as landscape the property.
When work is complete, Bible studies and church services will be held at this location. We want to follow the Biblical mandate to be “salt and light” to this area.

To Canada With Love
Our Pastor and his wife Vicki spent several days in Canada in May 2007, and they were astonished to learn that more than 82% of Canada is unchurched, so the mission field is huge. They both felt a huge burden to support Canadian missions.
David and Jill Wilhelm and their two children, Joshua and Katie, live in the Hamlet of Exshaw in Alberta, Canada. David recently graduated from the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary and has begun Heart Mountain Community Ministries working with and through Bow Valley Baptist Church.
Ministry in Canada is different than in the United States. Much of the ministry will revolve around sports camps, backyard Bible clubs, etc. Bellaire is supporting this ministry both financially and through our prayer support and may eventually take a group of volunteers there for a mission trip.
Additionally, the Bellaire Women’s Ministry is sponsoring a program entitled “Adopt a Canadian Pastor’s Wife.” Our women will provide encouragement and prayer to these women.
