-Easter Sunday 2010
Easter Sunday 2010 was awesome at Bellaire Baptist Church. This was our first year to have Easter services at two locations (both Main Campus and the Complex at South Campus), and it worked out beautifully. We had large crowds, but we still had plenty of seating and parking space. We had approximately 1,400 people in all three services, and we truly worshiped a Risen Savior!

-Bellaire hosts 2010 Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Egg Hunt was a HUGE success. We had hundreds of children from birth – 5th grade scurrying all over the fields of Bellaire Elementary playground to gather as many eggs as they could find. It didn’t take the children long to make all 10,000 eggs disappear from the grounds. Children went away with their baskets overflowing with eggs that were stuffed with candy. Each child also received a balloon with M&Ms and a card attached inviting all to attend Easter services at Bellaire. God provided a gorgeous day for the children to hunt eggs and He also provided MANY volunteers to help hide eggs, work registration tables, and/or fill the 400 balloons that children received upon leaving. Thanks to all of you who so eagerly served and made this event the success that it was.
-Adult Choir presents "Nothing but the Blood"
On April 2, 2010, the Bellaire Worship Ministry presented “Nothing But the Blood,” a dramatic musical presentation of the Easter story. The Bellaire Worship Choir was dressed in Bible costumes which really made the story come to life. This included roman soldiers, Pharisees, crowd people, praise dancers, and of course; Jesus and His disciples. Scenes from “Nothing But the Blood” included “The Triumphal Entry,” “The Last Supper,” “Via Dolorosa,” and a dramatic resurrection scene which included the song “Arise My Love.” The Praise Team carried each musical number along with the band and orchestra under the direction of Drew Ley and Leroy Tatum. The program featured music by Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Leeland, and Newsong. Drew Ley and Blake Canterbury wrote the script, which was mostly taken directly from the Bible. The drama was directed by Drew with help from Peggy McGriff and Jamie Wootton. Lights and media were directed by Trey McGuire and the musical was narrated by Bill Mackey. Thank you to all who participated in this great presentation as we celebrated the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ!

-Fields of Faith
Fields of Faith 2008, hosted by Parkway High School & Elm Grove Middle School FCA sponsors, was an excellent event that saw more than 200 students and adults gather at Panther stadium for a night of testimonies and worship. Fields of Faith is a nation wide FCA event that is held in local football stadiums. The goal is to get students to engage their campus for the glory of God. This year is the first year that Parkway has hosted Fields of Faith and it will go down as a great success. Four of our students spoke, Dylan Mooney, Rosie Callais, Jill Harper, and Stephen Wolverton. Our BSM staff did a great job as well, Blake Canterbury led worship, Landon Robin and Michael Woodruff set up the entire set and opened the night with Scripture reading and prayer. It was a great night for the students of Parkway and Elm Grove. We had the awesome privilege of seeing God move on the hearts of 16 students who made decisions to give their lives to Christ. God is good

Music Camp 2008 was AWESOME! We had 250 kids in attendance! Justin Reneau, Shelley McMillian and Dr. Harper were our guest speaker. They shared about outdoor adventures and tied them to the word of God. On Thursday, we had 5 salvations during our morning assembly. We learned that God’s promises are true and to seek his guidance as we walk the trail of life. The highlight of the week was definitely our musical “Rock Solid”. LOUISIANA BAPTIST CONVENTION
ANNUAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 12 & 13, 2007
Alexandria, Louisiana
Fifteen delegates and four alternates from Bellaire Baptist Church traveled to Alexandria for the Annual Meeting of the Louisiana Baptist Convention. Thank you for your prayers as we traveled.
Dr. Harper nominated Dr. Mike Holloway, Pastor of Cook Baptist Church in Ruston, for President of the Convention for 2008. Also nominated by Pastor Wayne DuBose was Dr. Chuck Pourciau, Pastor of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Shreveport. The delegates were faced with making a tough decision between two distinctive candidates with outstanding education, experience and spiritual depth; both fully capable of leading our Convention.
However, when the votes were counted, Dr. Mike Holloway was selected to be our President in 2008. Dr. Mike has been a personal friend of Dr. Harper’s since they attended Seminary classes together. As you can see from this photo, both men look very happy!
Please commit to pray for Dr. Mike as he prepares to assume a tremendous responsibility to lead the Southern Baptists of Louisiana.
